Castell is a ploughed down circular earthwork mound c. 38m diameter and c. 0.4m in height with a centrally located smaller circular mound to a further height of c. 0.4m. There is a hint of a ditch just discernible on its eastern and south-eastern sides. The farmer ploughs the field every three years and says that the ground around and on the earthwork is very stony compared with the rest of the pasture field. The site lies in a field named Parc Castell, on a local highpoint at 115m above sea level. Remains of a medieval motte rather than a round barrow. (Dyfed Archaeological Trust HER)
