A roughly oval enclosure, c.52m NE-SW by 32m, banked, ditched and counterscarped, the circuit is not preserved on the SE. The site lies c.235m NE of the Llanmelin Wood enclosures (Nprn301559). Trenching across the defences, in 1930-32, produced IA pottery from the banks, overlain by deposites containing C12 material. (Coflein)
Small enclosure believed to be part of Llanmelin Hillfort but there is not good reason to support this contention. (Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust HER)
