Gatehouse Comments

Nothing on maps. Village sited on river crossing and entirely feasible place for a castle. Seemingly missed by the usual authors although probably because a confusion with Llantrisant Castle, Glamorgan. The confusion may be a misidentification of this site with Llantrisant, Glamorgan by early authors or a dismissal of references to this site as confused reference to Llantrisant, Glamorgan.
