What appears to be the northern part of a ditched & counterscarped mound, having a summit diameter of about 22m much mutilated: sometimes identified as a medieval castle motte. (Coflein)

A small medieval motte, which may not have been finished as the defences are incomplete, although this may of course be due to their destruction. (Dyfed Archaeological Trust HER)

Gatehouse Comments

Small unfinished earthwork. Possible motte of which only one quadrant remains. Square building or enclosure has been observed on east side.
