Earthworks remain of a small castle noted approx. 600m SE of Woonton. The site has been heavily ploughed in recent years and is currently under pasture. Enough of the earthworks survive to ascertain the castle mound, a possible motte and outworks. (Herefordshire Through Time)

The earthwork remains of a small castle were noted previously by Paul Wood approximately 400m ENE of Woonton. The site has been heavily ploughed in recent years and is currently under pasture.
