Site seen from air 6/6/30. An irregular, much spread enclosure of brown colour - position of camp or castle mound and bailey. Field now ploughed and no evidence of 'tumulus' exists. Could be regarded as a round barrow, rather spread by cultivation, or as a short long barrow. (Oxfordshire HER)

Gatehouse Comments

Despite the vague suggestion of a motte in the Oxfordshire HER record there can be no question of this site being a castle.
