                Wombwell Hall had in 1831 been developed into a number of dwellings (Hunter)
Nothing remains of the Hall. The present building is modern (F1 ECW 05-AUG-60). (PastScape)
a substantial fifteenth-century tower formed the centre of the west range of a courtyard manor. The tower was pulled down in the middle of last century - all that remains today is a fragment of wall of the east range, incorporated in Victorian outbuildings. (Ryder 1982)
