Rectangular enclosure, 27m by 33m, largely bulldozed in 1962. Before this event the site is reported to have been embanked to the height of 4', with an external ditch. Whilst, "shape, size and position" suggest that the monument is a Roman fortlet, there is a local tradition of buildings standing within the enclosure, suggesting a post-medieval, or possibly medieval date.
