Milden Castle, known as Foxburrow Hill, is a small mid 12th century motte and bailey castle, now much mutilated. The circular mound is circa 12 ft high and was surrounded by a moat. Little is left of the bailey to the north, or the ditch. (Pesvner; Dickinson)

The motte is in good condition but the bailey ditch has been completely destroyed by quarrying (Field Investigators Comments-F1 JB 16-JAN-70). (PastScape)
