Field called Car {sic} Twmpath on 1840 Tithe map. No mound known in the area. Record 101523 is a clear duplicate. (Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust HER)

Tithe Schedule, No. 612, is another 'Cae Twmpath' (Ord. Surv. sheet, 28 N.W.; lat. 53º3'27", long. 3º3'7"), a level field gradually sloping to the Gwenfro brook. There is no vestige of a 'twmpath' or mound. (RCHAMW 1914)

Gatehouse Comments

Position are just outside Coedpath on a slope overlooked by Offa's Dyke and are not likely castle site, although the field is next to a large farm and small mottes in this context are not unknown in the area.
