A remote fortified site is set on a craggy knoll thrust out from the mass Mynydd Llangeinor. It lies at c 370m OD, remote from any manorial centre in the upland Welshry of Glynogwr. It retains short sections of dry-stone revetment wall which attest some attempt to fortify the knoll. Its situation and character seem to preclude a medieval origin, but its true nature and date could only be ascertained by excavation. (Spurgeon)
