Robbed and ruinous remains of a medieval houses, consisting of three wings set about a central courtyard, c.20m N-S by 22m overall. Apparently described as no longer in use by the 1530s. (Coflein)

Gatehouse Comments

Iolo Morganwg, an antiquarian and forger, variously listed the remains as a castle and as a former religious house but both suggestions are soundly rejected.
