Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust record of ? castle reads 'No fortifications are known in this field but there is a ring ditch near the West corner and another in the field to the south.'

Caer fach (lat. 52º49'37", long. 3º14'42")

A field bearing no indications of artificial defensive works. The name given in the Tithe Schedule (No. 94) is probably a misnomer. (RCHAMW 1914)

Gatehouse Comments

This road crossing of a stream is not an entirely improbable location for a small 'taxation point' structure although a placename and a slight ring ditch is weak evidence.
