A barrow, 25.3m in diameter and 1.2m high, possibly "Bedd Garmon". (Coflein)

The monument comprises the remains of a earthen built round barrow, which probably date to the Bronze Age (c. 2300 - 800 BC). The barrow lies on level enclosed land close to a stream and measures c.25.3m diameter and c.1.2m high. It has been heavily ploughed, but appears undisturbed. (Scheduling Report)

Gatehouse Comments

This site has been considered by some writers to be a castle but is rejected as such by Hogg and King as probably a barrow. Scheduled as a barrow. Remfry considers this an unlikely motte but doesn't totally dismiss it.
