An oval enclosure, described as a platform, rather than as embanked, was ploughed-down and mutilated by silage pits, before being bulldozed in 1974. (Coflein as ?Iron Age defended enclosure)

On a hilltop east of Llys-y-fran reservoir is a poorly preserved enclosure about 60m across, possibly the remains of a ringwork, or an Iron Age fort. (Davis 2000)

Gatehouse Comments

Very degraded small earthwork, perhaps originally a ringwork. Extensions to the farm yard seem to have now fully destroyed this site which generally seems to be considered as a pre-historic enclosure. On hill top. The obvious manorial centre is Llys-y-fran 600m SW and there is no reason to think this was ever a manorial centre.
