This site has been considered by some writers to be a castle but is rejected as such by Spurgeon as probably hill fort.

An almost obliterated work on the northern slope of Todlith hill, by which it is so completely dominated that it is difficult to believe it could ever have been constructed for purposes of defence. There is a dwarf mound at the north-western corner. (RCAHMW)
