A rectangular earthwork about 3.5m high with slightly rounded corners and a prominent well-defined rampart. Ditch poorly-defined, clearest on the SE side. Densely overgrown with trees, bramble and gorse. (Coflein)

Partial Ringwork with rear covered by river. Appears to have been deliberately mutilated. Very overgrown bank and ditch enclosure about 30m by 40m overall.

Gatehouse Comments

Possibly predecessor to Hendy Castle although some authorities suggest it is part of the same castle complex.
