Dyfed Archaeological Trust record of ?Iron Age Hillfort ?Medieval Motte. Otherwise recorded as defensive enclosure of unknown date. Site much to small to be Hillfort.

Gaer Fach, Cribyn is a banked and ditched oval enclosure measuring about 34m by 24m. A cottage block, 17.5m north-south by 5.5m, in the western side of the enclosure, is shown as intact on OS County series 2nd ed. (Cardigan. XXXIII.7 1905), this also shows a north-south wall bisecting the enclosure. (Coflein)

Gatehouse Comments

Known to Hogg but not included in his list of early castles (Hogg and King 1963) so, presumably rejected as castle site by him which seems utterly reasonable.
