Gatehouse Comments

Nothing in the tenurial history given in the VCH is suggestive of a medieval manor house of any form here. The grounds of Farley Hall were landscaped in the C18 and this house seems to have been a new build on a virgin site. Not to be confused with the nearby C19 gothic-style Farley Castle.
