This earthwork of a large mound surrounded by a deep water filled ditch may be a Roman barrow, medieval motte or medieval post mill mound. (Norfolk HER)
The site of a mound of unknown date. It was once known locally as 'Ice Hill', although it is thought unlikely to have been an ice house as there is no house of the right date located nearby. It is surrounded on two sides by a water filled ditch although there are apparently four ditches in total, and bordered just to the north by a pit. In 1935 some beams were found close the surface of the mound, and based on this and subsequent interpretation it is possible the mound is a former mill mound. (PastScape)
