Jackson writes 'There is said to have been a castle here.'

Gatehouse Comments

Presumably would have been near the church. The source suggests a reference to a late medieval manor house with some decorative crenellations, possible moated, but thin walled and not fortified. The church was threatened by flooding and Gatehouse suspects the manor house (fortified or not) has been lost to flood and movement of the River Vyrnwy. Map reference for church.
