Double moated site of Gisleham Manor. The moats are roughly concentric, and surround rectangular enclosures., the overall dimensions being 175m West-South-West to East-North-East, by 157m. The inner moat is water-filled, the outer moat is largely silted up. The manor is recorded from C13 onwards. (PastScape)
