The farm of Kielder Head incorporates a pele of the usual design in its buildings (Long 1967).
No trace of a Peel Tower could be found in the farm building at NY66639801 which are late 19th century, (measuring 9.2m by 5.7m) with attached outbuildings to the NE (F1 AGM 19-APR-77)
A bastle was built at Kielder Head, probably in the late 16th century. Vague traces of it remain among the farm buildings (Dodds 1999). (PastScape)
