Uncertain form bastle, with side walls 1m thick. Present state - farm building (Ryder 1990).

The west end wall of what was probably a bastle is incorporated in a former farm building, converted into a bungalow. The south west angle of the bastle is exposed in the south wall of the present building, and shows a typical boulder plinth and massive roughly shaped quoins. Internally, the wall is plastered but is c.1.15m thick; part of the metre thick north wall survives as well and is seen in cross section in the east side of the house. The original building has been 6.4m wide externally. Four metres of the north wall survive (Ryder 1994-5). (Northumberland HER)
