Gatehouse Comments

Moorside was a building shown on the 1863 six-inch OS map at NY81805844. Quite what Dodds meant is unclear, as is his source, but particular caution has to be taken with interpreting quarry features. The building is shown with a complex footprint, suggesting a building of several phases with outshuts.
