In 1675, a 'faire tower house' was recorded near Camerton Hall, and an 'old ruinous tower, standing nakedly...at the foot of Seaton Hill', was recorded in 1777. In 1816 it was noted as being converted to stables. Later buildings on the site may contain traces of the tower. (PastScape)
