Braystanes {sic} (Brough Hill) NY 008060. Supposed motte (Curwen p. 39). Elongated glacial formation with level top, rather resembling a slag-heap, but evidently natural. (King 1983)
Supposed motte but natural feature.
Curwen suggests that this was the motte of the de Braithstones 'the Braystones Tower' now stands upon it' (a 19th century home).
