Mound of possible castle. PastScape records 'An early C18 house on site of earlier buildings including possible Medieval examples. The house is situated on a probable medieval motte.' Beds HER records 'The house is on an earthwork mound, which is undated.'
Goddard speculated over this site in Sandy, which he called a 'fine mound' supporting a modern house situated close to the church on the north-east – but Beauchamp Wadmore altogether dismissed its claim to have been a castle. Drawing on them, Cathcart King compromised by labelling this as a 'possible site', but it would be as well for us to discount it. (Petre 2012)
