King rejects this as cited by Oman in error. Oman cites this as a castle listed by William of Worcester as in existence in his time (1478), but King says this error for Tregony. Tregothan House is a Country house constructed in 1650 and rebuilt in 1816-18 and 1845-48.

Gatehouse Comments

This site also fits the vague location described by Mackenzine for Trejago Castle. Certainly the manor was held by the Trejago family although It is not possible to confirm this house was the site of 'Trejago castle' which seems, most usually, to be identified as Ruan Lanihorne.
