Spurgeon rejects this as site of Bauzans Castle He writes "Breigam Farm is essentially a building of C18 and C19, with slight indications of C17 fabric in a nearby pile. Its position has no natural defence, and there is no surface evidence for a former castle."

Gatehouse Comments

It might be argued the 1875 OS map hints at a circular moat around the farm now lost under later farm buildings.
