Bastle listed by Christopherson under the name 'Beltingham' with 'condition' described as 'house'.

Gatehouse Comments

He gives a 12 figure map reference which makes it clear this is a reference to the grade 2 listed Beltingham House. This shows no signs of being a bastle being a rather fine classical Georgian house of circa 1750 with no suggestion in the listing report or the ground plan of an earlier phase. Not in the records of bastles in the Northumberland HER.
