In Clarks list of 'moated mounds and burhs' (loosely what would now be called mottes) although with a query mark and the comment "called Danish".

Gatehouse Comments

Clearly this is the IA hillfort of Idbury Camp. This does have an Anglo-Saxon cemetery nearby but there is nothing to suggest medieval occupation of the site.
