Penmark Place is part old. It stands within its own manor, and has from an early period, as Odyn's Fee, been a distinct property. (Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust HER)

Gatehouse Comments

House dating back to C16. The strong position and early foundation of the sub-manor of Odyn's fee have inspired claims that a late-medieval strong house or castle existed here, but the adjacent ground displays no traces of fortification.
