High Eals II (NY 76278595) is situated a little to the east {of High Eals I , amongst trees in a field; the site appears little more than a rubbly mound, heavily overgrown with nettles during the summer. Braving this vegetation, a close inspection shows that the footings of the external face of the north wall are exposed over virtually its full length of about 9.2 metres, with a simple plinth below the surviving course of wall stones. The northern part of the east end is also clear, along with the chamfered and rebated jambs of the central byre doorway, and a little of the south wall. (Ryder 2003)
