Supposed site of 12/13th century moated manor house. By 1816 the site had been levelled although some remains were visible near the mill. By 1964 it was covered by allotment gardens and nothing remained. (PastScape)

Gatehouse Comments

In Clark's list of moated mound or burhs. Banks suggest this was a mound, rather than a moat. The location is a little way from the church but not inconsistent with a motte.
