Clark, in his list of moated minds or burhs, records 'Howe Tallon, near Barmingham.'
A round cairn excavated in 1897. Five burials, all inhumations, and an empty cist were found. The cist was roughly central beneath the mound, but contained no traces of a burial. (PastScape)
