Round mound recorded in site visit, possibly a Bronze Age or Roman/Saxon barrow, medieval motte or, more likely, a post-medieval windmill mound. (Bucks SMR)

Gatehouse Comments

Circular mound 11m in diameter 2m high. In 1913 had encircling ditch. Close to parish church although the manorial centre seems to be north of the village at Whaddon Hall. It is just possible this was a motte before the manorial centre moved but most likely a pure and simple mill mound.
