Jackson writes "The NE slopes of Aston Hill called 'Castle Hill' in 1833, and there was a mound called 'Crugyn'" PastScape record as "Modern earthen mound on top of a reservoir, possibly the site of a Bronze Age round barrow."

Marked as Criggion Bank on 1890 map. Has never been considered a medieval castle and mentioned by Jackson purely because of name.
