Farmhouse on the site of a medieval manor house and chapel. A licence to crenellate the house and empark 300 acres was granted in 1446 and a chapel is recorded on the site in 1530 and again in the late C17. The present house dates from the late C18 and is two storeyed and brick-built with a late C19 extension to the rear. (PastScape)
