Mound, possibly a motte, situated 80yds north-north-east of Cranford Bridge. Field investigations in 1957 found it to be circular in plan, with a diameter of 45ft, and about 8ft - 9ft high, enclosed by a ditch, which was mostly filled in. The mound had been mutilated by construction of a wartime block house and by road widening. (PastScape)
