Possible cropmark of univallate enclosure encircling low rocky summit, defined by straggling dark green line which could represent a palisade trench. Alternatively, the line could represent a non-archaeological sheep-track or other path. Recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 12th August 2003. (Coflein–T. Driver)

Gatehouse Comments

Gatehouse does not understand the reason anyone would consider this rocky hill, isolated from settlement, as the site of a fortification and it is certainly not a medieval castle site. Presumably Morgan was being over cautious in not rejecting this site.
