Port Eynon. Near SS467846. Castle completely vanished castle except for its dovecot, the extraordinary Culver Hole which did not form part of its defences, No description; appears to have been quarried away before first antiquaries worked. (King)

The given map reference is for Port Eynon church. The site is likely to have been close to the church but probably to the south, how fortified this castrum of one and a half knight fee was is open to considerably question. The term castrum can simple mean manorial centre and the house is completely lost although the area has not been particularly developed or eroded.
