A grossly mutilated motte with doubtful traces of a bailey on the north-east side. The motte has a flat top 12m in diameter. Partially excavated in 1820 by Rev Stanley: nothing found. Considered to have no traces of a bailey by Spurgeon (Manley, J, Grenter, S & Gale, F, 1991, pp171). (Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust HER)
