A roughly D-shaped earthwork enclosure, about 30m north-east to south-west by 26m, resting on steep natural scarps above the Teifi on the north-west, defined elsewhere by a rampart & ditch, having a prominent south-east facing entrance: possibly a medieval castle site. (Coflein - as U earthwork)

Gatehouse Comments

Suggested ringwork on bluff above the Teifi. Recorded in Dyfed Archaeological Trust HER as IA hillfort. From the map it's form and position doesn't fit that of the usually hillfort but it is isolated from settlement and tracks and seems unlikely as a medieval site, although Davis favours a medieval date on morphological grounds.
