1. Cropmark of D-shaped enclosure. Univallate with ploughed out bank material visible on photograph. Possibly a motte ploughed-out at SW end. Entrance to NE. Curving cropmark cuts across the site. Possible rectangular feature in interior. DWT 14/06/1999 2. A subrectangular, banked & ditched enclosure, 56m NE-SW by 30-48m, set on low ground close by the Teifi, having a possible north-east facing entrance; a rectangular (ditched?) feature, c.20m across is apparent within. The south-eastern ditch appears to be involved in a relict channel, extending from the Teifi, about 96m to the east-north-east & 220m to the south-west. (Coflein–as ?medieval enclosure)
On aerial photographs this seems to be a moated enclosure standing as low earthworks and containing the foundations of a rectangular building. The enclosure is approached by hollow-ways from the north and south. This is almost certainly the site of the old Stradmore Mansion which was demolished in the early 19th century. The mansion was then located on higher ground to the north. K Murphy 2004. (Dyfed Archaeological Trust HER)
