A mound initial listed by Hogg and King (1963) as a 'possible' early castle but later (1970) rejected on the information of L. Chitty.

Gatehouse Comments

Since Hogg and King reported this mound the area has been developed. Even in their time it was beside a sand pit (a pond near the site is recent and represents flooding of this quarry) so presumably a natural sand hill or quarry waste. Bank Farm itself seems have been lost.
