Old Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust record of ? motte reads 'Field name suggesting the presence of a mound. No such feature noted by CPAT site visit 1980.'

Gatehouse Comments

The ? motte designation is dropped in the new record although the wording remain the same. If this was an artificial mound then almost certainly a burial mound.
