Mound of earth and humus 10m in diameter 1.7m high. Appears to be of fairly recent origin. May be spoil-heap from an an adjacent roadside cutting. No flat topped mound distinct. land very uneven, with a number of mounds and hollows which might be the one. (CCC, 1982) (Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust HER)

Now catergorised as unknown non-antiquity but pervious did have a ? Motte label. Presumably the first part of The statement comes from Davies. Clearly this was never a motte but Rhuallt was a significant crossroads. A Castle Rhuallt at SJ083748 seems to be a folly but is not recorded in the HER.
