King writes of this name 'nothing known of castle mentioned by Moore.'

Gatehouse Comments

Presumably Moore is the antiquarian James Moore but his list does not seem to contain this name. No Crombeir place name in OS gazetteer. Possibly a confused citation by King refering to something else its self probably another name for a known castle. Questionable as an otherwise unknown and now lost castle site.
