A circular mound below Moelpart farm, with Lle'r gell to the left. It would appear from its domed shape to be largely artificial; is surrounded by a ditch, and in many places, the rampart above the ditch is visible. Clawdd Mawr practically runs from Moelpart to Llymystyn Camp. This earthwork is not shown on the Ordnance map. (RCAHMW)
Mound and part surrounding bank and ditch sited below Moel Part (RCAHM, 1911). Probably a natural feature (Spurgeon, C J, 1966e) and disused field boundary (CPAT 1978). Noted as a barrow in 1971 (Hogg, A H A & King, D J C, 1971). Most descriptions relate this mound to a field boundary or consider it natural (CPAT 1997). (Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust HER)
